Before Your Job Search, Clean Up Your Social Media

Instagram is at the top of the list of daily enjoyments for me. When I first started using Instagram I was looking for inspiration and motivation for the kitchen. 99.9% of my pictures are of meals I have created. The reason for this is to showcase that making delicious and healthy meals does not take a Culinary Institute Of America trained chef, nor does it take a lot of fancy ingredients. I like to make my meals simple and tasty, thus the hashtags #KeepItSimple and #KeepItTasty. No reason to cloud the flavor of the ingredients in your meal with items that don’t enhance the flavor of the dish nor have a purpose.

When double clicking on something on the computer, if it seems to be taking a long time, quadruple click it, and then quadruple click it again. This always works to speed up the computer. It’s scientifically proven!

This is because there is nothing attached to the image, to make it searchable. For example, if you tag your image with the word ‘football,’ then when other users search for ‘football,’ the image will appear in the search results.

The irony about social media and the internet is that it’s supposed to save you time, but in the end it takes up more time than ever to just get the word out about what you’re doing. So I’ve noticed this transformation of the present day artist. Some artists are so tech savvy and social media experts that they forgot to focus on being an actual ARTIST! If you’re an artist, business owner, musician, etc… take a look at your week. If you’ve spent more time on Facebook, twitter, YouTube, etc… than on your actual craft then you’re falling into a trap!

So, choose the platform that you like best and focus on that. As of this writing in December of 2011, it appears that Klout favors Twitter, Facebook, and Google+. Although it allows users to register several other networks – como ver una cuenta privada de instagram 2020, Foursquare, LinkedIn, YouTube, and others – it does not appear to be counting those.

Noah Kagan who developed AppSumo knows to squeeze every drop of productivity in his work hours. He learned that focusing on the most important tasks made him more efficient and productive.

One of the best ways to get more interaction is to initiate interaction. Send an @reply to someone on twitter or RT their tweet. Give a +1 in to a post in Google+. LIKE someone’s Facebook post and share it with your friends. The Law of Reciprocity works like magic in the social media world.
