I’ve written a lot of articles recently on the topic of rockabilly. Throughout the past couple of months I’ve forced myself to think about the music, to learn about the music, to feel the music, to hear the music, and to write about the music. Why? What would prompt me to spend so much of my time putting all these thoughts together about a genre of music that had its fleeting moment of glory for a few short years almost 60 years ago and was all but forgotten as quickly as it burst upon the music scene? Good question.

It is actually a way of consoling them, telling them through soft music that everything will be finding and that he is surrounded by people who love him. Soft music is food to the heart. From my own experience, I discovered in my junior year of high school that not only did I enjoy learning, but my GPA really took off from that point on. I am convinced that it was my musical training that contributed to my new-found appreciation for learning in school and improving my grades. If I had started learning an instrument sooner, I would have seen an improvement in my grades much sooner as well. It takes time before the benefits of music training show themselves through test scores and grades in Math, Reading, and Science.
